Expedition Loap Solo 2006česká verze Crossing of the largest European glacier Vatnajökull - solo and unsupported
A passage from my conversation with a hitchhiker whom I gave a ride not long ago:
I: Coming from school?
He: Yeah, from school.
I: What are you studying?
He: Engineering. And how about you if I can ask.
I: Yeah, you can. I’m thinking how to explain it to him.
I: I’m trying to organize an expedition.
He: Is that a job? What expedition?
I: I want to traverse the largest European glacier. I’m looking for sponsors right now. That’s my job.
He: Hmm, you are such a fool.
I’m saying to myself, I’m fool again…
A passage from a book by Osho Rajneesh
Chapter title: To be a fool means to be healthy.
“…. all big people were actually always a bit foolish – meaning in their environment they were considered foolish. Thier foolishness was based on the fact that they were not suffering, they were not living in despair, they were not afraid of death and they were not concerned about minor things. They were living fully and intensively. Thanks to its wholeness and inner strenght thier life blossomed into a beautiful flower – they were full of scent, love and laughter.
… you have to pick up all your courage and when people will be saying to you that you are fools, be happy. Answer them: You are so right, only fools can be happy and full of joy in this world. I chose the foolishness with its joy, felicity and dance; you chose the sensibility and its misery, anguish and hell – our choices are different. Be sensible and keep your misery; leave me though my foolishness. Don’t be touched by that; even I don’t feel offended – there are so many sensible people in the world but I am not offended.”

This expedition is not about setting a record or about being first in something. It is much more important for me to give an example that inside, we have strength and abilities to reach our goals. I would like to show that with our own will, our goals can be achieved, even though it may seem almost impossible at the beginning.
You're not gonna leave such an empty space here, right?
