There’s a little bit more than two months left until my departure for Iceland. It is about time to start pulling tires! So at the beginning of this week my friend and I went to a local dump where we dug out together three beautiful tires. It was pretty funny when people passing by were looking at us as we were going to use it for a car. I took the tires outside the very next day. Not far from Chrudim, far from busy roads, I tried, after a long time, how it feels to pull the fully loaded sledge. To tell the truth, it’s not easy. At first glance, one would say it’s not that difficult. However, after several kilometers you start to feel not only thigh muscles but what is worse, the back. I walked 4 km maximum and I was happy it was only training this time. I will have to cover 15 km a day on avarage in Iceland. As I say, it is high time to start training.

This expedition is not about setting a record or about being first in something. It is much more important for me to give an example that inside, we have strength and abilities to reach our goals. I would like to show that with our own will, our goals can be achieved, even though it may seem almost impossible at the beginning.
